In case you haven't seen/heard (it's only being advertised to death, just after Terra Nova and Ringer)

Season 7 premieres on Channel 11 tonight at 8:30 — only two weeks behind the US!

(Let's pray they don't mess with us later in the season as usual.)

I’m sorry if this is not the place for that, but I’m selling my ’67 Impala replica car. It’s signed by Jensen, Jared and Misha. If you are interested in it, here is the ebay link: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

Are you looking for a fun way to contribute to the various flood appeals?

[info]fandom_flood_ap is up and running!

If you would like to offer written work, please click here.

If you'd like to offer art, please click here.

If, like me, you are a consumer rather than a creator of the delights of fandom, then please bid!

The list of charities you can donate to is here, and there are plenty to choose from, whether you want to help with the nuts-and-bolts of the clean-up or long-term psychological counselling.

Unless you're my daughter and her teenaged friends you've been glued to the television watching the flood news (because you won't be watching SPN until next week). You're aware of the ongoing devastation and maybe even that Beaufort in Victoria is under water as well (so says my Twitter feed).

We've set up a community, fandom_flood_ap to raise money for our fellow Aussies. Participants are encouraged to offer any type of creative endeavour, in any fandom, or even of original work (we have one author who is willing to auction off naming right in a piece of original fiction!).

Auctioning will start soon and we'd like you to join us, help us help those who've suffered in these deluges.

*Moderators: if this isn't allowed, sorry and please delete.

Want to read your fanfic LIVE? Get APPLAUSE? It's even better than comments!

For the Melbourne Fringe Festival this year, I want to do an event of fan fiction readings - "Fan Tales".

The aim of the evening is to provide a chance for fans who love fanfic to come together, have a few drinks, and listen to some great writing.

I am looking for 4-5 writers to read a story, or extract of a story, of 1000 words or less. Any fandom, any rating. Writers will get 5 minutes to introduce their fandom, and provide any story context. You can write a new story, or use an existing one.

At this point I am looking for expressions of interest before I register the event with the Festival. The Festival is on from 22 September to 10 October. I haven't picked a date yet but it will prob be a Wed or Thurs night or maybe Sun late afternoon. The venue will be Hares and Hyenas bookstore in Fitzroy, which has a good performance space and will seat up to 70. Tickets will be $15/$10. Any money from the door left after paying registration, venue and PA hiring will divided amongst the readers.

So if you want to be part of this event - which could become a regular fan gathering if it works - please drop me a comment or email. And I'd love it if you'd pimp it to any other Melbourne fanfic writers (or interstate writers who can make your way to Melbourne)

Ten has dumped it for poor performance during another non-ratings period. It only took in 300,000 on Monday.

It's being replaced by The Cleveland Show.

TV Week said it and TVTonight confirms it.

SPN returns the 29th at 9:30. (I'd reword that to "9:30 for 10pm" given GNW's history with running over time.)

Notice it's during the non-ratings period which means the ratings count now more than ever. So tell all your friends with a Nielsen meter (whatever they're called) to watch the show! Although, thanks to OzTam, recording counts too, if you watch it within 7 days.

This week's TV Week (Jan 30-Feb 5) has a short article suggesting that SPN fans postcard Network Ten's programming departments. Not sure this counts as a "TV Week Campaign" but their heart seems to be in the right place.

I've sent two postcards so far and haven't received any response, which I hope means that they are overwhelmed rather than ignoring me.
